After discussions with SSRIA members, ERA-funded projects, and industry leaders, a few themes stood out: continued investor support is critical to help early adopters pilot and scale new technologies in a risk-averse sector; sustainability must be built in at the design stage, with circularity embedded from the start; Alberta needs modernized building codes and policies to support upcoming growth; and future buildings require materials that can adapt to economic shifts, climate change, and evolving technology.
